Humph, it's 40 year old buildings that were never maintained, crazy officers, messed up battle positions and a couple dozen Turkish soldiers with orders to shoot me on sight about 20 meters away... Overall I'm having fun!

12 months for me (about 3 left). Usually it's 24 though unless you are in one of the groups that serve reduced time.

2X (not telling that last number). One more semester in University (actually all I need to do next semester is an internship) and I'll have my Bachelor's degree in Public Relations!

Why?

I don't know how in other countries, but in Russia it's hard to get job with bachelor's degree. We had transition system when Soviet university program split with International. So it's beter get Specialist degree (5 years) or Master degree (6 years). <_<

That's probably true for non-engineering disciplines here as well, but for engineering you basically just need a degree to get a job. Then you have to do 4 years of work experience to get a "Professional Engineer" designation.

Definitely in Vancouver. It's so awesome here, but super expensive too. :( As for which kind of engineering... I'm thinking of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), which is mechanical engineering.
