Why do you want to limit possibilities? Let the people that like to use the system use it. Let the ones that doesnt not use it.

The only difference should be removing of PK penalties like increased drops upon death.

I dont understand why you want to reduce possibilities in the game. And yes, it will hurt politics if there isnt a war and PK system.

Im not against some sort of war system all together. However I don't think that said war system should carry over outside of the 3rd continent. Thats all Im saying. Do whatever needs to be done on the North continent to make the PvP sieging system work, but that system shouldn't give people carte blanche on the east and west continents against people they are at war with.

If you take your war to the east and west, you suffer the same penalties as those who kill without being at war. Thats my whole point.

As i said twice before, the NPC continents shouldnt be effected. But than again, i dont care about those continents anyway.

There's a lot to read and this has probably been discussed elsewhere (but I can't seem to find it through simple searching)...

What's the motivation for fighting in pvp? Can we loot our enemies? Why would we destroy their town? Does it just grief them or do we get to pillage?

Do we earn points to earn from pvp vendors, or are the rewards more direct?

If I'm a pirate and expect all of my gaming experience to be raiding seaside towns will this be a rewarding experience or will I be draining resources on something which is fun but expensive, thus having to replenish my supplies through typical pve means?

The third island, "The PvP Island" as most call it is meant to be an EvE-like resource metagame. It's a place guilds can build towns, castles, keeps and such to control an area and exploit it's resources. Not that much is known about it though, it's something XLGAMES have talked about but seems it's low on their priorities at the moment as they are still trying to finish up the 2 main islands and races.

Now, if we are allowed to speculate on what's going to happen in the third island then you will be seeing wars to control resources to use for building ships, houses, expanding your castles. I think there was mention of pvp point rewards (take it with a grain of salt as it's something Jake Song just happened to mention in an interview and not officially announced by XLGAMES). Pirate factions/guilds are essentially enemies with everyone, but how that works was never really explains as it's something that hasn't been worked on yet.

So far Archeage betas have covered 3 races with 4th possibly coming next Beta, level cap has been raised but what people test is limited and only what XLGAMES wants feedback on by the players. Albeit, they said Beta 4 will be a test for PvP (and GvG I think) so we should be seeing third island in the next couple betas or so.

PS. As for fighting in general, it's an RvR game so you either kill the guy with red name or he/she/it kills you first. There will be rewards for participating in RvR surely, as you will be able to rise amongst your faction's ranks and it seems reasonable for that to happen through engaging in combat with an enemy faction.
Let's all pretend there's something really important written here...

Lol depends if this games turns out to be really carebear, simple, then no, no one from eve will even consider it.

If it has some good hardcore pvp features like Looting and other sandbox key elements complex tactics/building/politics/economy/ and lots more, then yes they will form up over here.

So if i understood it correctly the races and npc factions are only to get ppl to learn the game. AA is a FFA PVP game on all 3 continents?

And is the ammount of ppl you can bring to a siege unlimited as in zerg vs zerg or is there a max to it like 50 vs 50?
