ArcheAge's third closed beta is nearly upon us, and we thought it would be prudent to prime our 2000+ members and the general public on what to expect and where to expect it (hint: check this site every day).

What to Expect

Lots of videos and screenshots. Hours and hours of videos. Hundreds and hundreds of screenshots. "A lot" would probably be an understatement. You'll be able to get screenshots from our massive gallery daily. CBT3 videos will be all over Youtube, but subscribe to this account to be sure you catch all the good ones. I'm talking about 1080p HD h264 quality stuff.

Also, be prepared to be inundated with reviews from random websites and blogs all over the world. Blogs like Massively, fansites like us, Korean gaming portals, and news sites like ArcheAge-Online.com will all publish reviews/previews of ArcheAge based on its performance during CBT3. We'll try to translate Korean reviews if it's feasible to do so.

Finally, here's a list of new features that XLGAMES aims to show off during CBT3:

Sieges: Supposedly these events will be performed in phases and participants will receive points, determined by their level of participation, upon the siege's success or failure. This doesn't exactly sound like a siege to some people, and we expect that this event framework will either be changed completely or heavily modified before ArcheAge's eventual release.

PK (Player Killing) and Prison/Court: This feature was originally supposed to be implemented in CBT2, but it wasn't ready in time. It's going to be implemented and tested heavily in CBT3, so look forward to it! Blood, hurt feelings, and prisonbreaks are sure to add some spice to otherwise orderly towns.

Lots of improvements to existing content such as new mounts, smoother animations, and larger explorable areas. This is important stuff and will probably go overlooked by an untrained eye, so we're pointing it out now. ;)

Also, there's no NDA (non-disclosure agreement) attached to this test, so all the content we share is legally available!

Where to Expect It

Look no further than ArcheAgeSource.com for all your CBT3 discussion needs. ArcheAgeSource aims to be Grand Central Station for all the new converts this beta will develop among the planet's MMO fans. We've even created a forum section just for beta discussions! Additionally, we have also set up an #ArcheAge IRC channel on the GameSurge network for people who are into that. The details for connecting to it can be found below.

AAS also has a humongous image gallery which is open to public, no registration required to view! Under the "Screenshots" category look for the "Closed Beta 3" subsection. :)

As for videos, bookmark or subscribe to this Youtube account. It's where all the action will be taking place (in 15 minute segments and 1080p HD quality).

Finally, ArcheAge-Online.com has stated that they will attempt to keep abreast of all the news that's sure to go flying around the blogosphere when the CBT3 servers are down for maintenance. Subscribe to their RSS feed to be kept up-to-date!

Here's a cheat sheet for the folks who skipped the above sentences:

Update: Some enterprising individuals are offering to livestream their during CBT3. Here is where you can watch them play!

Good luck and have fun, fellow ArcheAge fans! :D

No one here has set up streaming yet, but if we find a good-quality stream out there somewhere, we'll link to it. ;)
