Hello ArcheAge fans! Guess what time it is? That's right, milestone-achieving time!

What have we collectively acheived that warrants merry-making? Why, 3000 members of course!

"But wait," you say. "We had 3000 members last week, and a couple weeks before that too. What gives?"

You're right, we technically have had 3000 registered accounts in ArcheAgeSource.com's database before, but many of those were spammers waiting to sully our forum's gloriously spam and advertisement-free facade. Each time we got close to or crossed the 3000-member mark, AAS staff went on a terrifying crusade to cleanse the database of dormant spam accounts (and block spammer IP addresses).

This time is different, though. This time we think it's safe to say that, yes, there are at least (if not more than) 3000 ArcheAge fans on planet Earth. Want proof? Just look at this handy Google Analytics graph to see how many folks have dropped by these humble forums in the last couple months.

Spoiler

(If you're interested in a more detailed breakdown of what these stats mean, or if you're curious about other statistics, just let me know and I'll make a post about them.)

All this progress has been possible because of you, and future progress will also be dependent on you. People are the power behind fansite communities, not money, not swag, not clout with PR and advertising agencies. What ArcheAgeSource.com has that corporate-owned fansites don't have is a rabid dedication to the game, not advertising revenue, and definitely not profit.

To that end, we will stay independent for as long as it takes for XLGAMES to find a publisher for ArcheAge. In the meantime, let's pretty ourselves up a bit for the grand day when the NA and EU publishers are inevitably announced!

We've spent some time adapting our current logo to the new ArcheAge logo and here's what we came up with!

Posted Image

What do you think? We're also in the process of creating a totally new skin, but that will take a little longer to develop. ;)

Finally, the future of ArcheAge's international community is yours to shape, and AAS staff are always listening for good suggestions to implement. Do you have an idea that might improve our humble fansite? Please tell us about it in the Website Feedback forum, and we'll get back to you as soon as feasible.

Happy holidays and New Year, ArcheAge fans!
From the ArcheAgeSource.com Staff

I like the logo, good emphasis on "source".

Thanks. Of course the entire logo will be shrunk to fit at the top of the website, but I kept "Source" bright and large in this example image in order to have it contrast better with ArcheAge's logo. Every ArcheAge website will have the ArcheAge logo, but none of them will have the SOURCE style. ;)

Well considering I only see around 30 people posting in a consistent matter you could assume around 2500 members are lurking/waiting for more information on ArcheAge.

It's safe to assume that there's many more than 2500 lurkers. I'm guessing about 100,000 people at this moment are aware (on different levels) of ArcheAge outside Korea.

Yeah sorry my definition of lurker's are registered member's who don't post and just check the boards from time to time.

Def:

http://www.urbandict...php?term=lurker

Well I just owned myself since it doesn't specify that they are registered.

It's cool, I'm just trying to make it clear that ArcheAge fans AREN'T a crazy tiny group, there's actually quite a few of us and that publishers should take note! :D

I think coloring the "Source" part green would match the ArcheAge logo more but this is great nonetheless. Congratulations !!

I'm so glad to see so many people taking interest in Archeage and its growing community. I am one of the many new people that found this site while browsing and was fancinated by its dedicated and growing community. Can't wait for release of Archeage, and I'm happy that I'll have friends to share the pain in waiting with!(: Getting to know y'all is going to be great!

Been a long time lurker. Finally registered, got off my lazy butt.

Sooo hoping they get a NA/EU publisher(s) soon and get the localization underway.

I just hope that the majority of these lurkers LIKE the sandbox type of game and aren't going to come in and demand it be turned into a themepark "for the American audience"

*sigh*

Yes, "soon" sounds to be accurate.
