SoE is actually pretty cool so far, when it comes to Planetside 2.
As for Japan, nope, no publisher yet unless Tencent extends their license to cover Japan which is a bit unlikely.
Any whisper of a NA/EU publisher?

Japanese version? Are they publishing in Japan as well? Because I could possibly purchase that version early
Not yet. But you can be sure that place will be one of the first to receive the game after Korea. The game seems to play playing on a good note to receive good liking in Japan. Just y opinion off course, but I sense it in the wind. And as Japanese would have a hard time standing Korean language in their game, they will have it dubbed off course. And once that happens... I can use those files.

Trion, Valve Paradox, or Ubisoft. Would love to see Paradox or Valve do it since it would almost 100% be a steam game.

I dont trust SOE at all.
Call me a disgruntled SWG vet.

Then you have Vanguard. Bought by SOE, fairly quickly the Dev staff was reduced to a couple of decent interns under the lead of an arrogant asshole. Last fall they decided to refocus on VG and promised 2 updates, yet they are so incompetent they cannot even transfer chars over to the test server. And internal decisions drove the last good and faithful developer left to quit.

That's a tough one; XL would almost do well to hire their own staff. I hated watching SWG get killed.
In the mean time, with SWTOR starting to bore me, I might head back to Pirates of the Burning sea to practice line-ship pvp battles. The crafting is ok as well. Avcom (Avitar combat) is a bit weak, but I can come up to speed again when Archage does Beta here.

I know what you mean. I thought I was having fun in TOR and all... until I found out about AA. Now it seems like TOR is just something to do until AA gets here lol

The funny and sad part is...
If you remember the old game, 2004ish, Horizons (Empires of Istaria now) they promised all this wonderful stuff, races and a racial interaction wheel, pvp, sandbox, crafting quests changing the world. But launched with only the crafting as promised, a fraction of the races as a pve themepark.
Vanguard had an amazingly similar feature list, but the dev team and mismanagement killed that game before it even launched. To this day they have never finished the rest of the Kojani continent, turned on many of the dungeons that were laid out yet never implemented, etc... Personally I blame it all on Silius, even if he wasn't around at the time, it is still easy to blame the Anti-Christ...

You wanna blame someone for VGs downfall, take a closer look at Microsoft. There the ones that started the ball rolling on that travesty. Then SoE forces Sigil to launch early ( if you bought the original box you'll see flying mounts and APW and gallons and guild halls and the like in the damn box). Them SoE buys Sigil out and take half there dev staff only to add what was still missing from the game at launch. After they start to get things eather fixed or added they started to cut even more of the original staff down again. And this continues for some time till there was no one left that had anything to do with the original project. So the blame starts with Microsoft.
