Hi, i'd like to know about housing, as i see will be hard to have one, in "Q&A from community meeting after CBT4" topic they said 50% of players will have houses. There is protected places for houses or any house can be attacked, something like it?
or 50% of players wont have a house because level/money? i dont understand why only 50% of players will have houses xD

(sorry my horrible english)

Because there will be no place for more houses than 50% of the estimated server population. And yes houses are restricted to certain areas. But there is the family system. You can form a family with friends and share your house.

Pretty much what Cavarath say, which means that everyone will have a chance to mingle with the housing system. There's nothing wrong with sharing houses ;)

I prefer it this way, if all players could build a house on selected land it would bloat the regions. Especially knowing that some people will build a house just to have one and barely use it.

You shouldnt be worried about housing space, there will be enough for everyone who wants to build one. Not 100% of the players will be interested in housing, many of them will be "leeching" on others via family system.

Yes, our german members shared in total 3 houses with each other.

We built two other houses just for demonstration purposes and another with my Let´s Play Char.

But really, one bigger house is enough to experiment with :D

Scarecrows are one per character at the moment as it is a quest reward. You can share them with family.

Sorry if this is answered elsewhere, but can alts be "family" too (i.e., alts having access to your house/things for crafting/equipment purposes)?

If someone else is head of the family, he can invite all of your alts.
I tried inviting my alt being head of family, it wasn´t possible because he wasn´t online.
Maybe i´ve done something wrong...
I had to give up family and let another member create a new one to get my alts invited.

The only houses that can be attacked are the ones within a 100m radius of the player city center on the third continent. While the city is sieged. The owners can always destroy the houses within this radius though.

Anything else wouldnt make sense. Its bullshit if someone can just destroy your house while you are offline. You will never have a house if thats possible.

But how will they restrict houses to 50% of the population? Can you only build them in a city radius or something?

It is not told 50%. Someone says 50% and everyone goes like "ah exactly 50% people will have houses so I rather buy 2 accounts... or...

Guys... guys, the brain, wake it up. The answer is simple, limited construction space. There are only certain areas where you can build houses and simply not everyone can have one. Imagine every player having own house that is still there, permanent. You will have x-times more houses then people online. t cant work that way. Like in real-life, people will share their housing with someone else.

Not everyone will OWN a house, not like they will have none at all. Someone will have a house and 3 more people will be in for example. If the one is to be you, well, it will depend on your gametime, early rush and speed of resource gathering / new places exploring.

Like Miyafuji said, there just won't be enough space for the whole population to build houses, because you know, it takes space. Building a house is limited to certain zones, because otherwise you would have a house at every m² and the lag would be inbearable. And those said housing zones apparently can't hold enough space. Makes you wonder how many players per server there will be.

Well, according to the maps and comments only ~30% of the land has been opened, and they are going to penalize people with more than 1 house it seems. So maybe with families and such there will be enough housing.

Maybe also if each protected farm consumes a housing space, and guilds support the 'tax' the land wars will rage in full force.

You can build houses where you see Posted Image icon on the map, and there are plenty on each zone.

This is for the starting continents, for the 3rd continent im not sure, i think you can build houses in a 250m radius from the territory crystal, need more info from a beta player.
